SSSC has a Coach's meeting and clinic at the beginning of each
season. This clinic is FREE and is taught by a Youth Module I
and II and E Licensed coach. At this meeting you will find out
all there is to coaching at SSSC.
SSSC is proud to offer several resources for our beginner coaches
through our veteran coaches. We have a FREE coaching clinic at
the beginning of each season. it covers everything from U6 to
U12. We also have videos that coaches can check out that will
teach them basics of training, putting together practices, and
proper techniques and how to teach them. And finally, SSSC has
a coaching director that is there to help you. John Williams,
jrzew@sbcglobal.net, is
available to answer questions, watch a practice, talk with parents,
or even run a practice to show you how. Please take advantage
of these resources to help make your coaching experience a positive
one.
RESCHEDULING
All games must be rescheduled through your age group
coordinators. Please refer to the staff page to find your
coordinator and their contact information. If a game is not
rescheduled within 72 hours of a game time, the canceling team WILL
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REFEREE FEES. In other words, games
must be cancelled by Wednesday. DO NOT CALL THE REFEREE
ASSIGNOR YOURSELF. The coordinator will take care of that.
Both teams must agree to the cancellation. Calling and leaving a
message for the other coach does not constitute mutual agreement.
TROPHIES
U8 players will all receive trophies before the last game.
We encourage all coaches to plan and end of season party or game
with your teams to celebrate your season and pass out trophies.
Each coach will be responsible to making sure all the players on
their teams receive their trophies. U10 and older teams will
receive trophies if they place in the top 3 of their division in
GCSA.
COMPENSATION
After you have successfully completed a season of coaching with
SSSC and have committed to coming back for another season, we will
compensate you by offering a $25.00 discount on registration fees
for the player on your team.
EXPECTATION
Often times, things are not as they first appear to be. You
may have difficult player or even difficult parents. SSSC WILL
NOT allow belligerent parents. Remember, we are here to
support you. Please contact the Coaching Director, John
Williams, if you are having any problems with your team.
Please communicate with us if you have any questions or problems.
We want all of our coaches and players to have a positive
experience.
